A first for everything

I joined Sasa a year and a half ago, thinking that I will just observe what is happening in the art world in and around Cape Town. I did not expect the growth that will take place in myself, and as an artist too. I definitely did not expect the warmth I received from the very people that I feared when signing up - people who turned out to be very willing to share the knowledge that they gained over the years.

Because of Sasa I had many firsts...

My first Art in the Park, my first life drawing event, my first merit exhibition, my first reward for the best oil painting, and last Thursday - a demo. I almost did not do any of these events just because it is way out of my comfort zone.

Sadly, I will be leaving Sasa this year as Life is taking my family on a new journey with many firsts waiting to be discovered - we will be moving to Kwa-Zulu Natal in a month or two.

I don't know what lies ahead - but hopefully my list of firsts will grow. One thing I am sure of: That He who is greater than me, will never leave me - that anything is possible with Him by my side,
